The community of cities
“Herault the Mediterranean” was created on January 1st,
2003. This new community, is crossed from the East to the
West by the canal du midi and from the North to the South
by the Herault river, and gathers 19 communes on a
territory of 371 km ²
Its privileged geographical positioning between sea, vines
and slopes, the quality of its motorway infrastructures,
railway and airport, and the softness of its climate makes
it one of the gravitational territories of the Region
Languedoc Roussillon.
Son positionnement géographique privilégié entre mer,
vignes et coteaux, la qualité de ses infrastructures
autoroutières, ferroviaire et aéroportuaire, et la douceur
de son climat en font un des territoires les plus
attractifs de la Région Languedoc Roussillon.
Today nearly 63000 people make live this territory which
should count from here 2010 nearly 77000 permanent
inhabitants.
