Interregional commission "Increase awareness towards Heritage and urban quality"

The community of urban area of Rennes Metropolis, vice-president of the AVEC network for France, animates this commission and organizes a biannual training seminar for the AVEC members.

SEMINAR "URBAN TOURISM, HERITAGE AND URBAN QUALITY IN EUROPE "

The tourist office of Rennes Metropolis is organising, in relation with the National Conference for Urban tourism (gathering 41 local communities), a seminar dealing with "Urban tourism, heritage and urban quality in Europe", in order to estblish a general diagnosis of urban tourism and European projects taking into account shared culture, new tecnologies and sustainable development.

Place : Rennes Metropolis' council room .

Speakers : Experts of tourism and heritage. Representative of the member cities of AVEC and the CNPTU.

Participants : Representatives of the member cities of the two networks. Other French cities interested in the issue of the tseminar. 150 to 200 people awaited.

SEMINAR " INCREASE AWARENESS TO HERITAGE AND URBAN QUALITY"

Rennes Métropole welcomed during three days the participants to the seminar “increase awareness to heritage and urban quality”, with the support of the French Ministry for culture (DAPA).
Jocelyne Bougeard, vice mayor delegated to women and equalty recieved technicians and elected officials, who came from several cities of Croatia, France, Hungary and Portugal, as well as a team of students of a master 2 of Architecture from the university of Rennes.
They all attended to several conferences on the theme of the enhancement of heritage and urban planning. They also visited several interesting sites of modern architecture inside Renes Metropolis as well as Saint Malo and Mont-St-Michel.
