What is the
project “Creative Clusters in Low Density Urban
Areas”?
The starting assumption of the project is that
creativity can act as a driving force for economic
development of small and medium-sized urban centres
and not only of big cities. The objective is to
promote the exchange of experiences and best
practices and the proposal of policy recommendations
and action plans related with creative clusters in
low-density urban areas.
One of the intentions of our work is also to promote
the inclusion of the vision by middle-sized towns and
small villages into European mainstream developments
related to creative clusters and the creative city.
Under the coordination of the Municipality of Óbidos
(Portugal), the partnership is also integrated by
seven cities from Spain, Italy, UK, Romania and
Hungary
